Chronic Absenteeism Support
Program provides supportive casework services for students presenting with attendance concerns that are referred to WISD/court by school districts and public charters. Court staff collaborate with school staff, families and interdisciplinary agencies to create individualized plans. Weekly support and resources with referred students during both the academic year and summer school when applicable.
Prevention
Caseworkers work directly with youth and families in need of supports, resources and provider referrals. Program referrals come from schools, community agencies and direct service professionals. Caseworkers utilize interdisciplinary team approach to identify specialized resources, develop individualized case plans, and provide direct system navigation support.
