Weekly learning series with Juvenile Division staff and interdisciplinary area agencies overseen by the Prevention and Education Unit. Agency representatives confer with Juvenile Division personnel to learn more about available resources, joint systems knowledge, and ways to make services more available and equitable for youth and families.
Program provides supportive casework services for students presenting with attendance concerns that are referred to WISD/court by school districts and public charters. Court staff collaborate with school staff, families and interdisciplinary agencies to create individualized plans. Weekly support and resources with referred students during both the academic year and summer school when applicable.
Caseworkers work directly with youth and families in need of supports, resources and provider referrals. Program referrals come from schools, community agencies and direct service professionals. Caseworkers utilize interdisciplinary team approach to identify specialized resources, develop individualized case plans, and provide direct system navigation support.
