Security
All visitors are subject to metal detection of their person and x-ray of their belongings.
Prohibited Items
The following items may not be brought into the buildings:
- Any type of spray
- Box cutters
- Guns
- Knitting needles
- Knives
- Nail files
- Razors
- Scissors
All packages may be inspected. Dangerous or illegal objects may be seized. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

Cell Phones, Laptops & Pagers
Cell phones and laptops are permitted by the public and will be allowed in the courthouse. Use of cell phones or other portable electronic devices is governed by LAO 2020-10J, Access, Inspection, Reproduction and Creation of Court Records:
- In a courtroom or hearing room, no one may use a portable electronic device to take photographs or for audio/video recording, broadcasting, or live streaming unless that use is specifically allowed by the Judicial Officer Presiding.
- In areas of the courthouse other than courtrooms, no one may photograph, record, broadcast, or live stream an individual without that individual's prior express consent.
- No one may photograph, record, broadcast, or livestream any juror or anyone called to the court for jury service.
Lockers
Outside lockers may be used (at the user's risk) to store small items or items may be returned to a vehicle for safe keeping. The County will not be responsible for items left in lockers.
