Drinking Water Testing
Our Environmental Health front office at 705 North Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor is now open by appointment only.
Appointments are available from 10:00 a.m. - Noon, and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please call 734-222-3800 to schedule an appointment.

If you have municipal or "city" water, please contact your municipal water provider first if you have questions, concerns, or problems with your water. If you receive a water bill, you likely have municipal water.

To test your water, you will need to get a special sampling bottle from our Environmental Health Division office, located at:

Proper Sampling Procedures
Environmental Health staff will instruct you on proper sampling procedures. Once the sample has been taken, you must return the bottle to the Western Service Center before 3:00pm, Monday-Friday. Keep in mind that turn-around times for test results vary.
Note: There is an additional fee - in addition to the fee listed for the water test - if the sample is collected by Environmental Health personnel.
