Washtenaw County Clean Indoor Air Regulation

The Clean Indoor Air Regulation was first enacted in 2003 and prohibits smoking in public and private worksites and enclosed public places, such as stores, public buildings, reception areas and public transportation.

2015 Amendment

The Clean Indoor Air Regulation has been amended to include the use of electronic nicotine delivery systems, e-cigarettes or similar devices. These devices will no longer be allowed in indoor public areas in Washtenaw County that are already smoke free. These changes took effect June 18, 2015. The amendment also extended the regulation to Washtenaw County Parks.
