Volunteer for Parks!
Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation Commission is made up of 34 Nature Preserves and 6 Facilities. Volunteer projects include removing invasive species, collecting seed, leading nature walks, maintaining garden beds, monitoring wildlife like birds and salamanders, helping with special events, and more!
We strive to provide activities that will directly benefit the landscape while enhancing the experience for the volunteer and park visitors. Volunteers not only give back to the community and help the environment but can also learn techniques, get exercise, connect with like-minded people, and explore new places.
