Report a COVID-19 Positive Worker at a Business or Agency
Businesses are no longer required to report COVID-19 positive employees to the Health Department.
- Health Department staff are available to assist with questions about COVID-19 cases or concerns. Please email [email protected] or call 734-544-6700. Also see "What to do if you are sick or exposed" for guidance.
If you test positive for COVID-19 using an at-home test
Please see our "What to do if you are sick or exposed" page for guidance. We are not collecting data on positive at-home tests. You do not need to report positive at-home tests to the health department. We will not issue letters for employers/schools/travel for at-home test results. If you will need proof of your positive test for work, school, or travel, please get a COVID-19 test from a provider.
Report a COVID-19 Positive Child or Worker at a School, Child Care Facility, Sports Team, Camp or Other Group

Report a Concern
To report MIOSHA or workplace safety complaints call 855-SAFE-C19 (855-723-3219) and/or file a complaint with MIOSHA.
To report a complaint about a grocery store, convenience store, or gas station, please complete this online form for the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), which is the agency that licenses and inspects these facilities.

Health Care Providers
Medical providers needing assistance with diagnosis and infection control can call the Washtenaw County Health Department at 734-544-6700 (Mon – Fri 8:30 am-5:00 pm) or 734-994-2911 #8 (After Hours). Please don’t call multiple Health Department staff with the same question. We will get back to your calls to our main lines as soon as possible.
Health Questions
If you have health-related questions, talk to your health care provider, or call the Michigan coronavirus hotline at 1-888-535-6136. The hotline is open seven days a week from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Mental Health Questions
If you have any mental health questions during these difficult times, you can call the Washtenaw County Community Mental Health CARES team 24/7 at 734-544-3050. Or text SHARE to the Crisis Text Line at 741741.
