Notice: We are no longer accepting applications for our Fall 2023 Intern Program. Applications for our Winter Intern Program may be submitted from November 1st until November 13th. Interested students should email their resume and a brief cover letter to [email protected]. The cover letter should include a statement of interest as to why you are interested in working in the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office, as well as any specific areas (if known) in which you would like experience. Law students should include a writing sample in their application, as well.
The Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office Intern Program is open to law students, graduate students and college students. Interns become integral members of a team dedicated to equity and justice in Washtenaw County, and work alongside prosecutors and staff. Interns may choose to join us for a summer or a semester, and on a case-by-case basis may be invited to stay on longer. Hours are flexible. In general (with the exception of several year-long law student positions), internships are unpaid. We will, however, support interns in securing external funding resources and/or course credit. Please contact [email protected] with any questions.
Applicants interested in working solely with the Conviction Integrity and Expungement Unit or the Economic Justice Unit should email application materials (cover letter, resume, and, if applicable, writing sample) directly to [email protected] and [email protected]. More information about the work of the CIEU and the EJU can be found here: www.washtenaw.org/3472/Conviction-Integrity-and-Expungement-Uni, www.washtenaw.org/3487/Economic-Justice-Unit.
