Pop-Up Community Services

The Health Department is committed to meeting community members where they are. We often attend community events or host pop-up clinics around the county to share resources and offer clinical services.

Health Department on Wheels1

Our “Health Department on Wheels” RV allows us to bring clinical services like vaccinations, STI testing and treatment, basic health screenings, and health education directly into communities. The RV allows us to reduce barriers to health care access and promote health equity throughout the county.

The Health Department on Wheels includes a full exam room, blood draw chair, and a wheel-chair accessible entrance. It is staffed by Health Department public health staff and nurses. In addition to clinical services, individuals can visit the RV to get connected to community resources and learn about health services available through the Health Department. 

For most services, no appointments are necessary and people are welcome to walk right up to the RV! For some services (like immunizations), appointments may be required so our staff can plan for vaccine handling and storage.

Submit a request at http://bit.ly/wchdrequest and we will get back to you within 5 business days (please email [email protected] if you haven't heard back within 5 days). Please submit your request at least 20 days before your event, if possible. We cannot guarantee we will be able to honor all requests.

*Please note that the mobile clinic cannot be used in the winter and is unavailable from mid-November through mid-March.
