To take a leadership role in insuring that all County financial obligations are met by providing fiscal permanence within Washtenaw County Government.
The Finance Department provides five service programs.
Accounting
Provides accurate and timely financial information for reporting and decision making purposes.
Budget
Provides the resources necessary for programs to fulfill their obligations by producing, implementing, monitoring and communicating a biennial Budget Summary.
Payables / Payroll
Ensures that all County financial obligations are met in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Purchasing
The Purchasing division procures goods and services for County departments in a cost-efficient and timely manner.
Accommodation Excise Tax
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Accommodation Tax Ordinance.
