The Washtenaw County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (WCBRA) has supported redevelopment of 1,059 acres of property. Completed and active projects represent $430 million of new investment and the creation/retention of 3,900+ jobs.

In May 2017, WCBRA established a grant program to assist public and private entities with environmental assessments on prospective brownfield properties.
A review was completed in May 2016 of completed brownfield projects to determine the accuracy of key brownfield plan components such as projected job creation, private investment and cost of eligible activities. The review was updated in 2020, through 2019, with similar results. Approved Brownfield Plans have not overstated the projected benefits of the projects receiving brownfield Tax Increment Financing incentives:
