COVID-19 NOTICE: The Washtenaw County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority has returned to in-person meetings, as required by law, starting in January 2022. The meetings are the 2nd Thursday of each month, starting at 9:00 a.m. The location is 200 N. Main, lower level large conference room, downtown Ann Arbor. The public may attend remotely via Zoom, with links provided on each meeting Agenda. All Board packets are posted one week in advance of the meeting on the County's web page.
The Washtenaw County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (WCBRA) has supported redevelopment of 1,059 acres of property. Completed and active projects represent $430 million of new investment and the creation/retention of 3,900+ jobs.

Environmental Assessment Grant Program
In May 2017, WCBRA established a grant program to assist public and private entities with environmental assessments on prospective brownfield properties.

2015 and 2019 Performance Audits
A review was completed in May 2016 of completed brownfield projects to determine the accuracy of key brownfield plan components such as projected job creation, private investment and cost of eligible activities. The review was updated in 2020, through 2019, with similar results. Approved Brownfield Plans have not overstated the projected benefits of the projects receiving brownfield Tax Increment Financing incentives:
