Washtenaw County's Solid Waste Division offers resources and education to implement composting and recycling at special events in the community through the Zero Waste Washtenaw program!
Help us keep the environment clean by participating in our home toxics collection events. We use volunteers to remove home toxics from residents cars and place them on carts for later processing. Events run the first three Saturdays of the month, April - November, except for holiday weekends.
Clean Up Day Events happen throughout Washtenaw County to allow residents to recycle or safely dispose of a wide variety of items like electronics, home toxics, tires, scrap metal, and more. Click here to view volunteer opportunities for Clean Up Days.
