Nature & History Programs
Learn about the nature and history of Washtenaw County through a naturalist-led hike or program. From Summer Butterflies to Tracks in the Snow, we offer programs for all ages and ability levels.
Learn, play, explore and discover with Washtenaw County Parks!
COVID Safety Guidelines
We are excited to be back in the field and see you again! There are a few changes we’re making to the way we are doing things, to keep everyone safe and healthy.
We are limiting registrations to 10 participants per program. All programs will require registration.
Children’s programs can accept 5 children, each with one caregiver. No unregistered siblings, please!
Please bring a mask with you, ready to use if needed. During moments when the group gathers or we can't maintain a 6’ distance, masks are required.
Upon check in for the event, there will be a health sign off form to be completed.
As always, our programs are free and open to all! Please email the naturalist leading your hike if you have any questions or concerns.
Monthly Program Offerings
Be sure to check out our online calendar or program guide to see what adventures are happening in a park or preserve near you!

- Family Nature Adventures are programs designed to offer a fun nature experience for all ages!
- We even provide nature explorations for children ages 2 to 5 during our Preschool Hikes.
