Family Nature Adventures: Carboniferous Creepie-Crawlies
Saturday, May 21, 2022
On the damp forest floor lurk some of the most ancient animals to have ever slithered the earth. Millipedes, sow bugs and harvestmen first emerged in the Carboniferous and they are still here. On this hike we will go on a hunt for ancient animals, just living their best lives down in the soil. This hike is the second in a series where we learn to appreciate the animals we love to hate. If you look past the slime, scales, stingers and stench you can discover the beauty and importance of every critter. Hike led by Shawn Severance. Pre-registration is required for everyone over the age of 2. To register, visit parksonline.ewashtenaw.org. Registration #831002
