Notice is hereby given by the Washtenaw County OCED that one public hearing, and a 5 day public comment period, will be held to solicit citizen input on a substantial amendment to the Citizen Participation Plan in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
This amendment adjusts the public input framework on upcoming projects and plans because of the changing circumstances of public meetings changing circumstances of public meetings and need for more expedited timelines for citizen participation during COVID-19.
A public comment period for the proposed substantial amendment will begin on June 24, 2020 and end on July 1, 2020. Changes described in the amendment would apply to the following Urban County jurisdictions: City of Ann Arbor, City of Dexter, City of Saline, City of Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor Township, Augusta Township, Bridgewater Township, Dexter Township, Lima Township, Manchester Township, Northfield Township, Pittsfield Township, Salem Township, Saline Township, Scio Township, Superior Township, Sylvan Township, Webster Township, York Township, and Ypsilanti Township.
The public hearing will be held as part of a Urban County Executive Committee Meeting on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 2:00PM. The public hearing will be held virtually, with the potential for an in-person option. Check this posting later to see an update on the in-person option.
