Portage and Base Line Lake Levels To Be Raised Beginning March 25, 2021
Ann Arbor, MI.: The lake level at Portage and Base Line Lakes will be raised beginning on March 25, 2021, and will reach their legally established level by April 5, 2021, weather conditions permitting, according to Scott Miller, P.E., Deputy Water Resources Commissioner.
Each winter the lake level is lowered to reduce ice and frost damage, along with erosion on the lake shore. For further information, please contact the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office at 734-222-6860.
