Ø  Joint Airport Zoning Board - The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking to fill two (2) positions, one position representing “Within the Hazard Zone” (from a township or townships within which the hazard area is located) and one position representing “Outside the Hazard Zone” (from that part of the county outside the townships where the hazard area is located), all for the remainder of three-year terms expiring 10/20/24. The airport hazard area includes the area of land in the counties of Wayne and Washtenaw that are within 20 miles of Detroit Metro and 15 miles of Willow Run airports. The JAZB will be charged with adopting and administrating the updated ordinance. Currently, each airport has an existing ordinance that is dated and needs to be brought up to meet current Federal and State standards as well as reflect the current airport configurations.   Once the ordinances have been revised and combined into one updated ordinance, the joint airport zoning board will have at least one public meeting to gather public input before it is approved.
