Our staff includes professionals in the fields of stormwater system operations, public administration, financing, accounting, drain special assessing, engineering, construction management, environmental planning, geographic information system technology, and more. We are expanding our team and are looking for candidates to enjoy public service as much as we do. Many of our current openings require no previous experience.

  • Environmental Assistant - Intern
    • Works in project areas including home toxics program, zero-waste events, County Clean-Up days, and environmental communications and outreach.
  • Seasonal Drain Maintenance Laborer (4 vacancies)
    • Performs on-site maintenance on drains and lake level control structures at various locations throughout Washtenaw County to ensure proper operation and safety. 
  • Seasonal Environmental Assistant
    • Works in project areas including home toxics program, zero-waste events, County Clean-Up days, and environmental communications and outreach.
  • Seasonal Environmental Program Assistant - Rain Gardener and Outreach Assistant
    • Assists with rain garden maintenance, education, and expansion efforts to support program continuance to increase efforts to reduce stormwater runoff and protect the waterways within Washtenaw County.
  • Seasonal Environmental Program Assistant-Rain Gardener Assistant 
    •  Assists with rain garden maintenance, public education, and outreach efforts. Program work supports continued efforts to reduce stormwater runoff and protect the waterways within Washtenaw County.
  • Seasonal Water Resources Assistant
    • Conducts field inspections of construction sites at various locations throughout County to prevent soil erosion and sedimentation due to construction activity. Will also provide soil infiltration testing observations and conduct site inspections.
  • Seasonal Clerical Assistant
    • Performs basic clerical duties, which require some independent judgment and attention to detail such as: types and/or emails correspondence, schedule appointments, sorts and distributes mail, and scans and files documents appropriately.
