
WASHTENAW COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
PUBLIC NOTICE – SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR THE
ENVIRONMENTAL COUNCIL
The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners is looking for people to be considered for appointments to the Washtenaw County Environmental Council. The Board of Commissioners will make these appointments at its upcoming session on April 6, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room, Administration Building, 220 North Main Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Individuals interested in applying should apply online at https://ewashtenaw.formstack.com/forms/board_application IN ADDITION TO providing/attaching a resume.
Those resumes received by March 25, 2022, will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for its consideration on April 6, 2022. The appointments will become effective April 6, 2022. These appointments include:
Ø Washtenaw County Environmental Council – The Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants to fill:
For a term ending December 31, 2022:
o 1 member representing Sustainable Agriculture
o 1 member representing Water Protection
o 1 member representing Vehicle Emission Reduction Issues
o 1 member representing Infrastructure Energy Reduction Issues
o 1 member representing Community Groups
For a term ending December 31, 2023:
o 1 member representing Community Groups
o 1 member representing Sustainable Energy Producers (private or non-profit sector)
o 1 member representing Land Use and Preservation
o 1 member representing Racial Equity and Environmental Issues
o 1 member representing Public Health Issues
The Board of Commissioners may, at their discretion, also appoint up to two additional members from the general public. The Environmental Council has recommended that the Board of Commissioners consider representatives from “Youth” and “Labor” for these positions.
