E2P2 Master Composter Leadership Award Winner- Chris Simmons


The Environmental Excellence Partnership Program (E2P2) recognizes leaders in environmental protection. Annual awards are given for notable efforts in water quality protection, waste reduction and recycling, and pollution prevention.  Award winners have gone above and beyond to do what is best for the environment

Chris Simmons was awarded the Master Composter Leadership Award. Chris introduced leaf mulching throughout the City of Ypsilanti’s parks system. This program continues to reduce CO2 and stops leaves from ending up in landfills.
