Families Against Narcotics (FAN) brings communities together to prevent and eradicate addiction by raising awareness, offering support and reducing the stigma that prevents people from seeking help and keeps communities from uniting to find a solution.
Join us for the first monthly meeting of the Washtenaw County Chapter of FAN on Monday, Nov. 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the 242 Church, 648 S. Wagner Road. Representatives from the organization, medical professionals and government officials will talk about ways to combat opioid abuse and support those struggling with addiction.
"We want to be the number a mom, a dad, a judge or anyone can call if they have someone struggling with addiction and needs help," Mario Nanos, president of the new Washtenaw County FAN chapter, says.
Three Washtenaw County Health Department staff are on the advisory board of the FAN Washtenaw County chapter.
