The images are the works of young artists who are currently incarcerated in Southeast Michigan; they speak to their lived experiences and feelings within and outside of the juvenile justice system and the futures they imagine for themselves and their loved ones.

The Youth Arts Alliance is a group of local artists who are committed to sharing their passion and creative disciplines, using creativity as a tool to alter potential for those in the juvenile detention and residential treatment facilities by providing safe spaces for self-expression, collaboration and celebration, profoundly transforming the trajectory of individuals and their impact on society.

As your travels bring you to downtown Ann Arbor, please take a moment to enjoy these incredible works at the County Administration Building, 220 N. Main Street.  Hours of operation may be found by clicking here.
