[ARCHIVED] Washtenaw County Water Resources Engineering Services

DrainPhoto-spotlight

While our office located on 705 N. Zeeb Road is currently closed until at least May 18th, the Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner’s Office will continue to provide engineering and plan review services remotely. Please note the following procedures we have enacted to allow us to continue essential functions as efficiently as possible.

  • Drain use applications and accompanying documentation (including site plan designs, correspondence, contact information) may be submitted electronically. Items can be emailed to [email protected]. Please include attachments in a pdf format if possible.

  • Pre-application meetings may be necessary for certain types of projects and permit applications. Our engineering team may contact you about conducting a virtual meeting in order to facilitate your submission. Note that while we ask that the owner and engineering representatives to attend, we have the capability to conduct online meetings with individual log-ins, allowing us to adhere to current guidelines on isolation/quarantines.

  • Site inspections and infiltration testing may be performed on a limited basis when possible. In all cases, social distancing and current state mandates on live meetings will be enforced. Our engineers will coordinate testing with you when applicable.

  • Fees and payments will continue to be accepted for services. Our staff will guide you on our options for electronic payments, and we can issue invoices in cases where credit/debit processing is not available.

Thank you for your patience during these unusual times. If you have any questions you may email the storm water engineer managing your project or contact Scott Miller at [email protected].
