[ARCHIVED] Nonprofit Agencies Receive Support From Washtenaw County and Community Partners

Non Profit Resources

Washtenaw County nonprofits are playing a major role in stepping up to provide essential services to the members of our community during the COVID-19 crisis. From helping coordinate food distribution to staffing homelessness shelters, they have worked hard to meet the increasing need in Washtenaw County as the side effects of social isolation, such as increased unemployment and decreased public transportation, continue to impact our local community and economy.

To support this work, the following resources are available for nonprofit agencies:

Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development is coordinating the ordering and distribution of emergency response supplies (e.g., gloves, masks, cleaning supplies) for nonprofit agencies. Submit an order for supplies here.

United Way of Washtenaw County has established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to rapidly deploy resources to organizations working with populations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The initial focus will be on rapid response in support of front-line agencies providing services to our most vulnerable populations. Learn More here.

The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation just launched their Short-Term Cash Flow Loan Program to support nonprofit organizations playing key roles in our community’s COVID-19 response, relief, and recovery efforts. They are offering interest free loans of up to $50,000 to bridge nonprofit operations through this crisis until other revenue sources become available. Learn more here.
