[ARCHIVED] Clerk/Register of Deeds COVID-19 Operating Plan

To slow the spread of COVID-19 the Washtenaw County Clerk/Register’s office will be closed to the public until June 15. 

Our services are not available in-person at this time.

Certain services continue to be provided as follows:

Order Certified Copies of Vital Records 

Please submit a request ONLY if you have an urgent need to obtain records. Please allow extra time for processing. 

Obtain Copies of Recorded Land Records 

Submit Documents for Recording at the Register of Deeds By:

  • e-Recording 
  • United States Postal Service mail to: Washtenaw County Register of Deeds, PO Box 8645, Ann Arbor, MI 48107
  • UPS (do not use FedEx, packages are not reaching us) to: Washtenaw County Register of Deeds, 200 N. Main Street, Suite 110, Ann Arbor, MI 48107.
  • The Washtenaw County Treasurer is providing tax certificates for documents submitted electronically only. 
  • Please submit ONLY documents that are in URGENT need of recording at this time.
  • Please allow extra time for recordings and electronic tax certifications to be processed.
