Nelson Meade County Farm Park

Nelson Meade County Farm Park provides an opportunity for the whole family to experience nature on the east side of Ann Arbor. This 127 acre park is a wonderful natural area with a series of trails, gardens, and a farm-themed playground that is a local favorite! The land is steeped in county history, although there is little trace of its former uses, which include a poor house (1835), insane asylum (1837), and a hospital (1917).

The park also contains the Meri Lou Murray Recreation Center, Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission's Administrative Offices, and the Field Operations Building
