Dr. Christine Brent is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan. After graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, she completed both medical school and Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Michigan. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services at the University of Cincinnati, with a focus on critical care air transport.

Double board certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services, Dr. Brent joined the University of Michigan Emergency Medicine Faculty in September of 2017 as Assistant Medical Director of Survival Flight. She helped to develop and refine the EMS track and the EMS elective for residents interested in pre-hospital care. She also designed and initiated the ACGME-accredited University of Michigan EMS Fellowship, for which she serves as Associate Program Director. Dr. Brent also serves as the Co-Deputy Director of the Washtenaw County/Livingston County Medical Control Authority and participates in many local, regional and state EMS Committees. She is a voting member of the State of Michigan EMS Coordinating Committee and participates actively in national EMS committees with scholarly work. She serves as an EMS content expert for the UM-ACRU and multiple other grant-funded research projects regarding Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest.

She is an IFR-rated private pilot who lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and two children.
