Dr. Nate Hunt is a dual-board certified emergency medicine and EMS physician. Dr. Hunt started his career in medicine as a paramedic, initially in Genesee County before joining HVA. He received his BSN from University of Michigan and worked as an emergency nurse before going to medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit. Dr. Hunt completed his emergency medicine residency and his EMS fellowship at the University of Michigan. He currently splits his clinical time between the University of Michigan and VA Ann Arbor hospitals. He is an active physician member of Survival Flight and is one of the Co-Deputy Medical Directors for Washtenaw Livingston Medical Control Authority. He is core faculty for the University of Michigan EMS Fellowship. Additionally, Dr. Hunt is the team physician for the Washtenaw County Technical Rescue and Hazmat teams.
